      Well, "realism" is perhaps the wrong word for Lucian Freud's meaty fantasias. I admire his paintings greatly and went back twice to his exhibition at MOCA a few years ago.

      The price? Well, speculation is even a worse way to determine value in art than in most other things.

      The scum who run things in Burma will of course use the disaster to shore up their rule. They're one of the world's worst regimes.
